Pablo neruda -La reina- |
jueves, 17 de febrero de 2005 |
La reina Yo te he nombrado reina.
The queen
I have named you queen. There are taller ones than you, taller. There are purer ones than you, purer. There are lovelier than you, lovelier.
But you are the queen.
When you go through the streets no one recognizes you. No one sees your crystal crown, no one looks at the carpet of red gold that you tread as you pass, the nonexistent carpet.
And when you appear all the rivers sound in my body, bells shake the sky, and a hymn fills the world.
Only you and I, only you and I, my love, listen to it.Etiquetas: Pablo Neruda |

THE QUEEN
There are greater women than you, greater. There are purer women than you, purer. There are more beautiful women than you, there are.
But you are the queen.
When you walk through the streets no one recognises you. No one sees your crystal crown, no one notices the carpet of red gold you tread as you pass, the carpet that does not exist.
And when you appear all the rivers roar in my body, bells shake the heavens, and the world is filled with a hymn.
Only you and I, only you and I, my love, only we hear it.
