Ayer
Yesterday
All the excellent poets laughed at my handwriting because of the punctuation, while I beat my chest confessing periods and commas, exclamations and colons, that is to say, incests and crimes that entombed my words in a special Middle Ages of provincial cathedrals.
Those who became Neruda-ized began to Vallejolate: and before the cock that crowed they left with Perse and with Eliot and died in their pond.
Meanwhile, I wove myself into my ancestral calendar more antiquated every day without discovering even one flower not already discovered by the whole world without inventing even one star not already extinguished, while I, tipsy with its brilliance, drunk with shadow and phosophorous, dumbfounded, followed the sky.
The next time I come back with my horse, through time, I will devote myself to hunting (duly crouched) everything that runs or flies: to determine beforehand if it has been invented or not, discovered or not: nothing, not one unborn planet, will slip through my net.
