El pescador
Con la larga lanza el pescador desnudo ataca al pez pegado al roquerío el mar el aire el hombre están inmóviles tal vez como una rosa la piedad se abre al borde del agua y sube lenta deteniendo en silencio la dureza parece que uno a uno los minutos se replegaron como un abanico y el corazón del pescador desnudo tranquilizó en el agua su latido pero cuando la roca no miraba y la ola olvidaba sus poderes en el centro de aquel planeta mudo se descargó el relámpago del hombre contra la vida inmóvil de la piedra clavó la lanza en la materia pura el pez herido palpitó en la luz cruel bandera del mar indiferente mariposa de sal ensangrentada.
The fisherman
With his long lance the naked fisherman attacks the fish trapped among the rocks the sea the air the man are still perhaps like a rose, gentleness opens at the edge of the water, rises slowly enfolding hardship in its silence as if one by one each moment folded itself up, fanlike and the heart of the naked fisherman calmed its beat in the water but when the rock stopped watching and the wave forgot its strength in the center of that mute planet the man's lightning flashed against the motionless life of the stone the spear struck pure matter the wounded fish flashed in the light cruel flag of an indifferent sea butterfly of bloodstained salt.
